Boca Grande - 24° 31' 55.95" N82° 00' 15.99" W

Boca Grande is a popular key approximately 14 miles west of Key West. It is uninhabited and located within the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Visitors from Key West will likely make the Lakes Passage, which is approximately twelve miles of beautiful shallow water that is typically crystal clear. The path from Key West is clearly marked and terminates at Boca Grande beach. Boca Grande is a locals favorite, especially on holiday weekends. Boca Grande is only accessible with a Keys Captain.

Woman Key - 24° 31' 30.73"N 81° 58' 23.51" W

Woman Key is near Boca Grande. It is also uninhabited, and has a small beach. Woman Key is a great snorkeling location, and can easily be paired with a Boca Grande visit.

Calda Channel Sandbar - 24°35'49.95" N81°48'32.18" W

Leaving north out of Key West Harbor, you’ll run into Calda Channel. As you transit the channel, it dog-legs to the left. On your right is a small sandbar that is a favorite of locals and tourists.

Snipes Point Sandbar - 24° 41’ 53.5194” N 81° 40’ 26.4” W

Snipes Point is due north of Big Coppitt Key and part of the Snipes Keys. Its about 16 miles northeast of Key West. You’ll find a lot of boaters enjoying the day at Snipes during the summer season. It’s easy to access and a must-see sandbar!

Mud Keys - 24.6724° N, 81.6943° W

Mud Key sandbar is also northeast of Key West, approximately twelve miles away. It is due north of E. Rockland Key. Enjoy the scenic mangrove trails, clear water and easy access.

Marvin Key - 24.6724° N, 81.6943° W

Marvin Key has been characterized as the best sandbar in the Keys. You can be the judge. It’s located in the Great White Heron Wildlife Area, north of the Saddlebunch Keys. Enjoy a sandy beach without coral or shells. Mingle with the locals on an amazing sandbar!

Bahia Honda - 24° 39' 59.997", 81° 14' 59.406"

The Bahia Honda sandbar is just south of the Ohio-Bahia Honda Channel Bridge. It runs for about 300 yards, and is at the easternmost tip of Bahia Honda State Park. This sandbar is easily accessed from Marathon, Big Pine Key and the Lower Keys. Bahia Honda State Park is consistently ranked as one of the top beaches in America. This beautiful sandbar is certainly one of the most picturesque in the Keys.

Content Keys - 24.7890° N, 81.4848° W

The Content Keys are due north of Cudjoe Key. They have been characterized as unspoiled tropical islands with sandy beaches and gin-clear water. The Content Keys are very easy to get to from the Middle Keys. Some people say that the Contents are the best sandbars in the Keys. Don’t miss this gem!

Picnic Island - 24° 40' 1.5168” N 81° 34' 59.3112"W

Home of Wetstock and one of the easiest meetup spots to access! It is a small scrub island between Little Torch Key and Little Palm Island. Anchor up and visit with all your new friends at world famous Picnic Island. Stop in for a toast with Capt. Jack on his houseboat.

Grassy Key Sandbar, also known as Valhalla Sandbar

Just east of Marathon and next to, you guessed it, Grassy Key. Sandy bottom and lots of great people at Marathon’s most popular sandbar!

Money Key Sandbar - 24°41'01.5"N 81°12'55.7"W

Money Key is just west of Marathon, next to the Seven Mile Bridge. Money Key is a popular small sandbar for families and boaters after a day fishing. It is very close to Molasses Key, which can be seen in the distance in this picture.

Molasses Key Sandbar - 24°41'02.2"N 81°11'28.0"W

Molasses Key is just west of Marathon, also next to the Seven Mile Bridge. Molasses Key is very close to Money Key and a popular small sandbar for families. It has an abundence of shallow water for the smaller children.
