How We Fell in Love with the Keys
“My wife and I started falling in love with the Keys in 1999. We used to trailer our sailboat down and spend the summer hanging out at the most beautiful spots imaginable. We know how wonderful and gratifying it is to spend time on the water in the Florida Keys. I remember waking up in the morning to the sound of water lapping against the side of our sailboat, calling us to get in the cool water to clear the sleep from our head. Later on, I remember catching tarpon, bonefish and one giant permit with a talented guide who wouldn’t accept a penny for his services because I just had arrived home from Iraq. Another time, I remember my wife and I going to a pig roast at the home of a relative of a friend. He didn’t even know us, but welcomed us as if we were family. These are the Keys people and this is the best place I know of. I hope you also fall in love with the Keys.

It’s not always so easy for visitors. Trailering a boat a thousand miles or more to the Keys is a daunting task. If you decide to rent a boat here, we know how difficult it is to drive to a marina and move a boat from there back to your vacation rental home. Plus, you have to bring it back to the marina when you are done with it. And the quality of the rental boats vary greatly in Keys. Our boats are custom made and brand new!

There are many locations near your vacation rental that you can take your family. Anchor up at a sandbar or nose the boat up on the beach. Let the kids snorkel while the adults enjoy the water. It’s your choice. Here’s a crazy idea - drive your boat to have lunch at one of many restaurants that have a dock! Or maybe just explore around the many mangrove islands of the Lower Keys.
