Restrictions

Our pontoon boats are limited to operations in and around the coastal waters of the Florida Keys. The limits of operation are as follows:
No boats may go past the reef on oceanside.
No boats may go east of Duck Key.
No boats may go west of Key West.
No boats may go north into the Gulf more than one mile out.

All persons born after January 1, 1988 can operate a boat, but are required to take a Florida Boater’s Test. Those born before this date do not need to take the test.

The client who books the boat must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid credit card and drivers license.

All clients must be staying in a licensed vacation rental property with dockside access to a canal. The client who books the VR must be the one who books the boat.

All clients must be experienced boaters and agree to be responsible for captaining their own boat, with the exception of the duration of a Keys Captain charter.

Clients must not leave bean bag chairs in the boat overnight. Store them inside your Vacation Rental. Replacement cost is $250 for each bean bag chair.

Bean bag chairs are not to be put in the water or on the beach. They are not float toys. They must be left in the boat while anchored.

All glass bottles and/or glass cups, etc. are strictly prohibited on the boat.

Silly string, confetti, glitter and other such items are prohibited.

Tinted sunscreen are prohibited.

Firearms on board are prohibited.

Fireworks on board are prohibited.

BBQ grills are prohibited.

Towables are prohibited.

Generators are prohibited.

The boat operator must speak English proficiently.

Weather may restrict clients to inshore waters. We will text you if there are any weather restrictions.

No squid or chum allowed on the boat. You may fish with shrimp.

No fish are allowed in the boat cooler. If you place fish in the boat cooler, you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the cooler ($200). Our coolers are fresh and clean for food and drinks. Bring your own cooler if you want to keep any fish you may catch. Better yet, have fun catching them and throw them back.

No fish may be cleaned on the boat.

Any boat that is excessively dirty will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee.

No scuba, snuba or any underwater breathing apparatus allowed from our boats. You are welcome to snorkel. If you are snorkeling, you must fly the dive flag.

If you damage the boat, you are liable for the repair cost. This includes all parts of the boat and interior such as propeller, skeg, hull, siding, upholstery, deck structure, bimini, antennaes, etc. You are also liable for paying for the time that the boat is out of service awaiting repair.

No pulling tubes, skiers, wake boarder, or anything like this.

A child under the age of 6 must wear a USCG-approved Type I, II or III personal flotation device while onboard a vessel under 26 feet in length while the vessel is underway. "Underway" is defined as anytime except when the vessel is anchored, moored, made fast to the shore or aground. FWC Boating Regulations
